These two pieces of collage was done last year.
This collage is done in collaboration with Guo Shu (who now has a deep passion for collage) and An-ning, but I did most of the work for this particular piece. It is part of our group’s 5 collage pieces done for the PEEK project, which aims at educating young kids about the importance of the environment. The collage was put together with different textures which are painted with acylic. I personally prefer the pangolin’s nice, shiny coat of scales. It was really hard work working on that section of the collage. But, I feel that the pattern of the cat’s body is rather weird and plain, and its hands are too short. Maybe I should have made the orange stripes on its body more distinct and bolder, as it looks rather ‘undecisive’.
Taa Daa! My most favourite and enjoyable art piece ever! It’s a toucan! I love all the textures that I have created. However, I feel that maybe I should add an eye/eyeball to ot. It looks rather blur and lost. Haha. And mybe I should have extended the beak to make it resemble more like a toucan.

I’m so proud of it, because it looks quite real when it is observed from a distance. I admit, it does look kind of amateurish- fuzzy lines etc. But nevertheless, it is still a good attempt!
Even my dad and mum thought that it is a cut and paste from a magazine.
