Here’s my LENY label! It’s done on photoshop and illustrator.

LENY LABEL

LENY LABEL

I particularly like the texts and the nutrition information label. I manipulated a photo of myself such that it has a more graphic style. The complicated tones are even, and the overall picture is brightened by quite a bit. The baked beans in the background (heinz vegetarian baked beans) are adjusted to become more yellow to give in a golden, royal look. Mmmm. yum yum.

Next, my poster!

poster

5 big words ‘BUY 2 GET 1 FREE!’ , Simple enough to grab the audiences’ attention. However, I feel that the beans should be much brighter. It doesn’t look very appetizing.

Lastly, my price label!

It is very simple, but yet striking and bold.  $1 per can of baked beans, so cheeeeap!

ADD THEM TOGETHER, AND YOU GET……

I got the rack from serangoon road. Cool, right?

I’m satisfied with the overall look of my coursework. If I had extra time, I would definitely get more cans to fill this rack to its fullest. If it is possible, maybe a wider range of products from LENY brand and a larger scale installation.

Bloons Banner

Here’s HuiKin, Me, Jing Ying and An-ning standing under 403’s Bloons game stall banner! :D The text are fat and cute! Btw, the balloon was an accident. We actually intended it to be relatively fat with only the reflection tone, but it turned out nicely blended because of an accidental paint spill.

Painted Mug

Here’s a pretty nice painted mug (from ikea) that I did during the holidays:

thinking...
what is that?

 Spots

The giant fish turns back and tries to swallow up the pondering man. The brushstrokes and the subsequent effect was not intentional at all. The texture of the seed part and the area around the handle was created due to the half-dried up glass paint that I was using, which eventually gave such a surprisingly nice texture to the smooth and plain mug. It was quite fun painting the mug, and I don’t mind painting more (if I have the time). By the way, this white mug costs only 50 cents from Ikea :D

It’s very simple. It’s in black and white so that filtering it in with different tones of monochromatic colour will be made easier.

Earth Week Table design competition

WE GOT FIRST PLACE for Earth Week’s canteen table design competition! :D
Our theme: Animals on the brink of extinction
Earth Week Table design

A project in collaboration with HuiKin, An-ning, Xinyan. We got a little help from two of our classmates as well. We used brown crepe paper for the base, and pasted scraps of painted newspaper on top to form nice collages of the earth, a tiger, an elephant and a whale. We topped it off with some facts about the extinction of the animals. I did most of the earth, as well as the writing part.

The whole design looks super attractive and well-finished as compared to the other table designs… :)

Bio RAFT: comic design

BIO raft

This is a comic I did for my Bio RAFT. I did the design and decided the colours to be used, while my 2 other friends (YiLing and Bernice) came out with the story line and helped fill in the colours. The topic is on how the body regulates temperature changes , and how temperature changes are detected. I find this comic really cute, and I really really love my characters (esp. the brain, who looks like a big fat man tou)! One thing I think I can improve on is the header/title of the comic. It’s too lazily done. I should have spaced out the “The weather today is” words evenly. That should look nicer.
