hey leny!
oh my gosh, i didn’t know you were that good at watercolour painting. haha! i didn’t dare to believe it was done by you at first, and thought that it was a picture in 几米’s book.

anyway in your “lone man”, i like the way the gradient of the man’s shirt is done, i’m not sure why too…just that it gives a very nice feeling. as for the brick wall behind, maybe you shouldn’t have outlined the lines separating the bricks. as in i can see a darker shade of the paint, which makes the bricks look a little fake.

as for the painting “man with umbrella”, i like the glowing effect of the lamp posts…really nice, i can almost imagine it glowing. i also like the effect produced by the falling leaves alot!

I love the shining effect of the stick!
are you sure you did it using colour pencils because they sure do not look like so! Anyway great job, except that the background is a little plain and perhaps you can add something else to the compostion?

hey great watercolour painting, I especially like the second one “Man with umbrella”. The glow of the light helps to create a sense of contrast with the background. Great water colour techniques too! I love Jimmy’s works (: Maybe I shall try out painting/duplicating his works too!

This is cool! you were inspired by the Olympic too were you not? I did a chinese paper cutting on the Olympics too! I like the curly wurly feeling of the curls. At first I thought I stambled upon Hui Kin’s blog though! xD

You’ve been to the art museum too? You know, we have totally different tastes in art. Xu BeiHong’s chinese ink Paintings is kind of dull and boring to me. I like his oil paintings better, even though the subject matter are always portraits of the rich people.

But your analysis of his work is really detailed and in-depth! It helped me gain a better understanding of his chinese paintings!
